Canoeing on the river Gudenå
The river Gudenå is a source of splendid experiences and canoeing is an absolute must when visiting the river Gudenå area. Rent a canoe for a day, take a packed lunch and enjoy a leisurely day watching for the crested grebe and the proud heron.
Or equip yourselves for a real holiday expedition and go canoeing for a week. This sums up all that an active family holiday with plenty of togetherness is about.
In the evening you can pitch your tent at one of the many campsites and primitive lay-bys reserved for you and other paddling people who prefer to enjoy nature to the fullest. From sunrise to sunset.
Canoe rental in the Lakelands:

Ry Kanofart, phone: +45 8689 1167
A canoe can typically seat three adults or two adults and two small children. Life jackets for everybody are included in the rental price and the boatman will get you started.
AND A BIT OF KAYAK INSPIRATION
Bring your own kayak to the Lakelands and put it in the river by the bridge near the village Emborg south of Gl. Rye. Let the current ease your way north via lake Gudensø to Ry where a canoe passage leads you further northwest or into lake Knudsø. Take a break on the beach at Sdr. Ege or Knudhule, where good restaurants with lake views await. Or eat your packed lunch on the beach. Enjoy!
