Øm Monastery, today the Monastic Museum of Denmark, gives you – in anno domino 2009 – a unique opportunity to get a glimpse of the daily life in a monastery from the Middle Ages. Up to the Reformation in 1536 the monasteries and convents constituted the most important factor of power in the Danish Lake District.
