The Freshwater Museum

The Danish Freshwater Museum is found in Ry. Here light is shed on the conditions and changes in the natural and cultural history connected with the freshwater ? at regional as well as national level.

The exhibition of the museum is situated in an attractive wooden building near the harbour of Ry. The different parts of the exhibition are constructed from three themes; geology, nature and history of civilization. Here the visitor has the possibility of learning about the flora and the fauna in the area. Background stories are told about the adaptability of life in and nearby the freshwater. The aim is to achieve visitors get inspired to discover the nature just outside the doors of the museum.
