The Museum at Adelgade Skanderborg

The museum is beautifully situated in the old town of Skanderborg, near "Slotsbanken" and with a garden that goes all the way down to Lillesø, where you can enjoy lunch and the beautiful scenery.

The museum and its immediate surroundings give visitors a glimpse into the city, the castle and the area's unique history. The museum focus on the whole family, and for them gain knowledge and experience of a museum visit here.

There is a free admission to the museum garden, where you will find tables and benches during the summer. In the hall you will find a museum shop and a small self-service café. The museum is housed in a building, where the oldest parts date from 1700-century.

The permanent exhibitions show the city and the region's history with themes up to 1940.
