The cinema was built in the 50s. In the Summer of 1994, it was changed into a union cinema - and the cinema we know today - after several years as a privately owned movie theatre. 1995 was the year where construction happened as well as investments in new fixtures and techniques. The Danish Foundation for Culture and Sports supported the project with 1,5 million DKK and the old Galten Municipality also gave financial support.
In the summer of 2013, the BIO Huset went through another big reconstruction and modernization. Here, a new roof and ventilation were installed among other things. The cinema room was isolated and renovated, had new seats installed as well as new lighting and wall and ceiling tapestry. Our technical equipment is regularly upgraded so that we're at the forefront when it comes to the technical development and can ensure that our audience gets a contemporary movie experience.
